ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Larry King, the celebrated talk show host accustomed to A-list interview guests, has agreed to moderate a debate featuring a squad of minor-party presidential candidates.

The former CNN giant will guide next Tuesday's debate in Chicago, which will be broadcast on the Internet. The candidates taking part are the Libertarian Party's Gary Johnson, the Green Party's Jill Stein, the Constitution Party's Virgil Goode and the Justice Party's Rocky Anderson.

King told The Associated Press that it's clear none of them will win, but he said they all deserve a voice in the presidential race. Democrats and Republicans are keeping tabs on Johnson and Goode, two ex-Republicans who could be factors in key battleground states.

"They have a story to tell. It's a valid story," King said. "It's a two-party system, but not a two-party system by law."

The document, which was attached to updated voter registration cards that were requested in person, lists the general election date as Nov. 8 in Spanish. An English translation on the document lists the correct date, Nov. 6.

“It’s an honest mistake. Between the time the voter [who caught the mistake] came in to our front counter to get her card and we were notified of the error, the mistake had been corrected,” said Yvonne Reed, spokesperson for the Maricopa County Department of Elections.

A consulting firm with close ties to congressional Republicans—from Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) to freshmen Congressman Tom Reed (R-NY)—is behind the group airing one of the most offensive new ads in the presidential campaign.

A group calling itself the “Tea Party Victory Fund” is garnering attention this week for its new ad called the “Obama Phone.” The ad, which shows an African-American woman praising President Obama for supposedly giving her a free phone, is being run in several areas throughout Ohio:

Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit abruptly resigned today, leaving the helm of the bank that he guided through the financial crisis of 2008. For his five years of leading Citi, Pandit will receive compensation in the neighborhood of $260 million:

If no alterations are made to Pandit’s compensation package, Citigroup will have paid him about $261 million in the five years since he became CEO, including his personal compensation and about $165 million for buying his Old Lane Partners LP hedge fund in 2007 in a deal that led to his becoming CEO. With anti-austerity protests across Europe resulting in civil unrest on the streets of Athens and Madrid, the European country famed for its neutrality is taking unusual precautions.
