As Egypt's Tahrir Square continues to fill with thousands of protesters, reports have come out regarding rampant sexual assault against women. In response, hundreds of people have formed human shields to protect female protesters. According to Operation Anti-Sexual Harassment, an Egyptian women’s group, more than 44 women were assaulted on Sunday alone. The number of protesters in the square continues to rise as Egyptians demand more change in their government, barely two years after they ousted former president Hosni Mubarak during the Arab Spring. Check out our live blog to keep up with the protests—on Monday, the Egyptian Army gave the current president, Mohamed Morsi, a 48-hour deadline to either yield to the protests or step down.
