Former RNC Chair Michael Steele admitted Wednesday that not including rape exemptions in an abortion ban is “way outside” the “mainstream of American thought” Wednesday, but said Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign shouldn’t have a “big fight” over changing the GOP platform, which includes no such exemptions.

“No,” Steele said on NewsChannel8’s “NewsTalk,” when asked by host Bruce DePuyt if opposing a rape exemption was a mainstream position. “There’s a wide array of views on the issue, and there are a lot. In only the latest installment of the quickly snowballing TrapWire saga, a company that shares several of the same board members as the secret spy system has been linked to a program called Tartan, which aims to track down alleged anarchists by specifically singling out Occupy Wall Street protesters and the publically funded media — all with the aid of federal agents.

If Romney received income as a sole proprietor, he had to pay 7.65 percent in Medicare and Social Security taxes (more than half his proclaimed tax payments). Then you have retail tax, property tax (and they have plenty of property), you have state income taxes, etc.
